Dover Man Wakes up After Being Shot

DOVER, Del. - Delaware State Police are investigating a shooting which left an 80-year-old Dover man injured.

Troopers responded to Alder Park Apartments at approximately 1:39 a.m. Wednesday.

Police said the man was lying in bed when he woke up after being shot.

The victim was removed by EMS and transported to Bayhealth Kent General Hospital where he was treated for a non-life-threatening injury.

This incident remains under investigation by Delaware State Police.
