A man was robbed while walking along the highway Wednesday morning. A man was robbed while walking along the highway Wednesday morning.

CAMDEN, Del.-  Delaware State Police are investigating after a man was robbed while he was walking along the highway in Camden.

According to police, in happened around 2 a.m. Wednesday. A man was walking southbound on the shoulder of the northbound lanes of South DuPont Highway near Voshells Mill Star Hill Road when he was approached from behind, police said.

He was hit in the back of the head with an unknown object, causing him to fall to the ground, police said. Once on the ground, the suspect grabbed the man's wallet from his pocket and took some cash before leaving the area, police said.

The man was slightly injured during the incident and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
