Shots Fired at Car in Dover

DOVER, Del.-  Delaware State Police are investigating after a car was shot at in the parking lot of an apartment complex near Dover Saturday evening.

According to police, a 24-year-old man, a 22-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman were sitting inside a black Kia Sorento, which was parked in the 300 block of Billy Mitchell Lane in the General's Greene apartment complex.

Around 9:45 p.m., the suspect, who is not known to police, fired multiple rounds, hitting the car, police said.

The three people in the Kia quickly drove away, but their car became disabled in the area of Route 10 and Bay Road. None of the people in the car were injured, police said.
