SALISBURY, Md.- Acorn market displays photos of those who are battling or have battled cancer in support of Relay for Life.

9 different "Portraits of Hope" hang in Acorn Market each with one common bond...cancer.

Joan Wharton said her battle with cancer was positive because in the end it showed her just how valuable life really is.

"Feeling that strength within myself and the faith that I have and I knew I was not ready to give up. There's too much to live for," Wharton said.

Organizer of the "Portraits of Hope" and Head of Marketing for Relay for Life in Salisbury, Renee Stephens, said, "Cancer touches so many different people every walk of life every demographic. To just show a representation of those in our own community that are cancer survivors or entering into treatment."

Stephens said these photos will be moved to PRMC in August.

The next Relay for Life Even will be held on September 22nd at Winterplace Park in Salisbury.
