Detectives Investigate Overnight Break In

HARTLY, Del. --The Delaware State Police Criminal Investigations Unit is investigating a Wednesday night break in.

Police say around 11:44 p.m., Wednesda, a man entered an unsecured bedroom window of a home located in the unit block of Kohouts Drive.  According to police, the window opened directly over the bed of a 75-year-old woman. Once inside, the suspect proceeded to grab the woman's leg, waking her up. When the suspect saw the woman was awake, he left the home through the same window. The woman was unharmed and police say none of her belongings were taken.

Investigators were unable to provide a detailed description of the suspect. It is unknown if he was armed with any weapon.     Wayne Dean Davis, Jr., age 23, was pronounced dead at the Peninsula Regional Medical Center shortly after 3 p.m. on Oct. 19. The cause and manner of death are pending an autopsy. As a matter of policy, Davis’ death is being investigated by the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Department.
