MILFORD, Del.- A car crash led to the arrest of a Houston man, according to the Milford Police Department.

The car struck a pole around 5:15 a.m. July 12, and the diver, Tanner N. Stevens, left the scene, police said.

According to police, an investigation revealed that a 2006 Ford Fusion had struck the utility pole in the 600 block of South Walnut Street, causing damage to the car, pole and the yard that the car traveled through.

Following the completion of the investigation, a warrant was obtained and Stevens was arrested July 20, police said.

He's charged with leaving the scene of an accident, malicious mischief by a motor vehicle, failure to provide information at a collision scene resulting in property damage, failure to remain within a single line, failure to report a collision to police and careless driving.

Stevens was presented at the Justice of the Peace Court #3 in Georgetown and was released on his own recognizance.
