Driver Seriously Injured in Easton Crash

EASTON, Md.- Authorities say one person suffered serious injuries following a Monday single-vehicle crash in Easton.

Easton police said the accident happened at South Washington Street and Dutchman's Lane. The investigation revealed that a 2003 Volkswagen car lost control and left the roadway. The car then struck the curb and rolled over numerous times prior to becoming airborne and then coming to a final rest.

The 51-year-old driver, from Kensington, Md., who was also the car's sole occupant, was subsequently flown to R. Adams Crowley Shock Trauma for injuries sustained in the crash. The driver, whose name has not yet been released, was listed in serious but stable condition.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing and anyone who may have witnessed it is asked to contact Cpl. L. R. Phillips of the Easton Police Department at 410-822-1111.
