Police Searching for Wanted Man in Laurel

LAUREL, Del.- Delaware State Police are asking for the public's help in locating a local man for assault and other charges. 

24-year-old Michael K. Washington, of Seaford, is wanted on charges of first degree burglary, third degree assault, endangering the welfare of a child and criminal mischief, according to DSP. 

Police said Washington is also wanted by Seaford Police Department and three capiases from Sussex County courts. 

Washington allegedly broke into his sister's home on Thursday and assaulted her in front of her child, according to DSP. 

DSP asks that anyone with information call Troop 5 at 302-337-1090 or Delaware Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIP-3333.
