Greenwood Police Searching for Bank Robbery Suspect

GREENWOOD, Del. - Police are looking for a suspect who robbed the Discover Bank on East Market Street in Greenwood. 

According to Greenwood police, shortly beforfe 6 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 2, a white male entered the bank with a white cloth covering his face and demanded money from the bank teller.

Police said the suspect took an undisclosed amount of cash and then ran out of the bank and headed westbound on East Market Street.

The suspect was then observed getting into a gray car that was parked at a nearby business, according to police.

The vehicle was seen traveling southbound from the area of Sussex Highway and East Market Street and then turning back northbound on Sussex Highway.

The vehicle is described as a gray four-door car, possibly a Chevrolet Impala with no tags displayed.

Officers said the suspect was additionally described as 20-30 years of age, between 5- and 6-feet-tall and 130-160 pounds.

The suspect was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, dark gray sweat pants, black shoes, white gloves with red finger tips, black ball hat and his face covered with a white cloth.
