Cate Douglass joined the WBOC team as a producer in August 2017. She graduated summa cum laude from Ithaca College in May 2017, where she received a bachelors degree in Television-Radio with a concentration in media production and minors in journalism and writing. While at Ithaca, Cate played four years of varsity soccer for the school's program and worked on the college's television station, ICTV, where she anchored the nightly news casts and produced live basketball broadcasts.

During the spring of her junior year, Cate interned for the Academy of Country Music in Encino, Calif., where she wrote daily news articles, interviewed artists, and helped in the production of the 51st ACM Awards show. She also interned for several years at the American Journal of Managed Care in Cranbury, N.J., and worked on the street team for the Princeton-based radio station, 94.5 WPST.

Aside from her passion for journalism, Cate loves sports and being active, as well as spending time at the beach, and she is excited to to make this new part of the East Coast her home.
