GEORGETOWN, Del.- Delaware State Police say a bicyclist was seriously injured after being rear-ended by an SUV in Georgetown.

Investigators said 35-year-old David L. Clark of Georgetown was riding his bike westbound on U.S. 9 around 5:45 a.m. Sunday when the crash occurred.

Police said a 59-year-old Lewes man was driving a Jeep Grand Cherokee behind Clark and was unable to see the bicycle in time because of the low light.

Clarkt was thrown up onto the front of the Jeep before landing in the roadway.
