PRINCESS ANNE, Md.- Maryland State Police from the Princess Anne Barrack have arrested a driver without a license after a traffic stop revealed the driver was 14-years-old.

Police said that at around 2:30 a.m. Tuesday, a trooper stopped a black Suzuki SUV that was traveling above the posted speed limit on Route 13 in the area of Coston Road in Princess Anne.

During the traffic stop the trooper learned that the driver was in fact a minor from Virginia. Also in the vehicle were three other juveniles ages, 12, 15, and 16.

An investigation revealed that the minors left their homes in Virginia without their guardians’ knowledge. The group then took a family member’s vehicle without permission and headed to Salisbury, Md.

The driver and passenger of the vehicle were referred to juvenile services for driving without a license and unauthorized taking of a motor vehicle.

All of the juveniles were taken to the Princess Anne Barrack where they were released to their respective guardians.
