Man Arrested for Shoplifting Crab Meat From Easton Store

EASTON, Md.- Easton police have arrested a 57-year-old man accused of shoplifting several cans of crab meat from the Weiss Markets supermarket at 219 Marlboro Ave. 

Police said officers were called to a reported shoplifting incident at the store at around 3 p.m. Tuesday. When they arrived on the scene, an off-duty officer already had the suspect detained. 

Police said the suspect identified as Robert Darnell Jenkins, of Easton, was observed stealing four cans of lump blue crab meat and two cans WQ lump crab meat valued at $193. Jenkins was placed under arrest and charged with theft less than $1,000. He was later released on personal recognizance pending trial.
