Milford Man Charged Following Burglary Investigations

MILFORD, Del.- A Milford man has been arrested and charged following an investigation into thefts from cars and homes, police said.

On Aug. 17, officers from the Milford Police Department arrested 28-year-old Marque Anthony on North Street, since officers knew he was wanted by Kent County Superior Court and Justice of the Peace Court #6, police said.

According to police, while he was being taken into custody, officers found items from a car burglary as well as drug paraphernalia.

Further investigation linked Anthony to other recent burglaries, police said.

Anthony has been charged with two counts of criminal mischief, two counts of criminal trespass and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Anthony was presented at the Justice of the Peace Court #2, where bail was set at $17,452 secured. He was then committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution.

A preliminary hearing in the Kent County Court of Common Pleas is scheduled for Friday, Aug. 25.
