Salisbury Man Driving Under Suspended License Becomes Disorderly

SALISBURY, Md.- A Wicomico County Sheriff's Deputy was performing a traffic stop when a man exited the car and became disorderly, according to the Sheriff's Office. 

Police said 23-year-old Lamont Stephen Smith pulled up to a house, got out of his car and tried to enter the home.  The deputy told him to get back into his car, but Smith ignored him. 

Smith became disorderly when the deputy approached him, according to the Sheriff's Office.  Smith was arrested at the home on Booth Street. 

Police said they learned Smith was driving under a suspended license.  He was charged with disorderly conduct, obstruct and hinder a police officer and driving under a suspended license, among other charges.
