SMYRNA, Del. -- Delaware State Police are currently on the scene of a car fire on Route 1 southbound.

Police say it happened around 5:14 p.m on State Route 1 south approximately 1.5 miles south of Exit 114. Police say traffic is restricted because of lane closures -- drivers should expect delays in the area and find alternate routes of travel. Delaware State Police are continuing to investigate the incident.
