Car Pulled Out of Nanticoke River in Vienna

VIENNA, Md.- Authorities are working to the identify a body recovered from a car pulled out of the Nanticoke River in Vienna on Wednesday afternoon.

Dorchester County Sheriff James Phillips said the car, which a tow truck pulled out of the river at the Vienna Boat Ramp, matches the description of a vehicle that belongs to a person reported as missing.

However, Phillips said because of the condition of the body, investigators are unable to identify the individual. The body has been sent to the State Medical Examiner's Office in Baltimore for positive identification, the sheriff said.
