Seaford Man Arrested on Drug, Weapons Charges

 

SEAFORD, Del.- A Seaford man is facing several firearms and drug charges following a traffic stop on Sunday. 

According to Seaford police, officers stopped Donald White Jr., 24, based on two active warrants out of Sussex Superior Court.

Once stopped, police say White fled from police but was captured shortly later and taken into custody.

Police say White was found in possession of 31.6 grams of marijuana and more than $670 in suspected illegal drug sales proceeds.

A search of the vehicle that White was operating revealed an additional small amount of marijuana, a digital scale and a loaded firearm, according to police.

White was arraigned before the Justice of the Peace Court and committed to the Department of Corrections on $384,200 cash only bail.

White is charged with Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony, Possession with the Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance,             Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited, Resisting Arrest and              Possession of Marijuana.

White was also committed to the Department of Corrections with a $50,000 cash bail for one of the Sussex Superior Court warrants and held without bail on the second Superior Court warrant.
