Zanes Law in Phoenix announces they will be holding their eighth annual teacher school supply giveaway on August 4, 2018. This year, the firm will provide more than 400 teachers within the Tucson community with free school supplies for the new school year. The firm is proud to be able to assist those charged with educating the next generation and provide the tools to help them do so.

“Research consistently shows teachers typically spend hundreds of dollars each year out of their own pocket to buy school supplies. While programs have been put in place to help obtain these supplies, schools and teachers remain in need of much more. We created this school supply giveaway to help them obtain these items for their students and their classrooms and to remove some of the financial burden on them,” Doug Zanes of Zanes Law explains.

The median annual salary for a public school teacher in Tucson, Arizona is $51,852, as reported by Salary.com. Sadly, this is 7.3% below the national average pay for public school teachers. In addition, this pay covers the time spent in the classroom instructing students, afterschool activities, lesson plan preparation, and more.

“Teachers are frequently undercompensated for the time and effort they put into America’s children. Often, they work for little or no pay simply to ensure their students have the materials they need to succeed. When they don’t have the proper supplies to ensure this is the case, everyone suffers. We are hoping to change that with this annual school supply giveaway and more,” Zanes continues.

Zanes Law is known for their personal injury work and now maintains offices in Tucson and Phoenix, Arizona and in Seattle, Washington. The firm has earned a reputation for creating a low stress, results-driven experience for clients. Sadly, teachers often don’t have this same low-stress environment when they enter the classroom as they don’t have the resources needed to do their job properly. The school supply giveaway is a step in the right direction to ensure they do not do without.

“Visit Zanes Law in Seattle or Phoenix when you are in need of a personal injury attorney. We are also here to help the communities we serve with our annual school supply giveaway being only one example. Watch for other upcoming events, as we have hosted things such as a teacher appreciation giveaway week, Garrett’s Bears stuffed animal collection and more. Our team loves to give back to the community and we will continue to do so in the future,” Zanes declares.
