BERLIN, Md.- The town of Berlin will cheer on their little league team Thursday night, as the boys march toward the Little League World Series. The team spirit in town can be felt everywhere, especially in the businesses along Main Street.

"The community is really excited, and I just think it's great," Berlin born and bred, Cindy Bratten boasted.

Others shopping in town can't help but anticipate the baseball game that starts at 7 p.m.

"They are terrific and we're behind them 100 percent," Laura Bennett said.

Many people are preparing to watch their team. One way to see it is on the big screen at The Globe.

"We have six TVs and one projection screen. So it'll be on throughout the entire establishment," The Globe's owner and operator, Jennifer Dawicki said.

She explains, she's been a proud supporter of the team for years.

"Whether they come stumbling in here with their uniforms and their cleats, dirty or not dirty, with their families, I know that it's a part of growing up and part of a community. So whether they're going to the Little League World Series or not, it's just an awesome organization and we're thrilled for them no matter what," Dawicki said.

If you're in Berlin, you can also find the Hotel Atlantic serving up something unique.

"We're doing a couple of drinks tonight. One of them is called the Berlin Bomber and it's in honor of them [the team]," bartender, Chase Ruhl said.

A homerun for this small hometown, no matter what the final score ends up being.

"We're so proud and excited for them no matter what the outcome, but we'll be cheering them on tonight," Dawicki said.
