SALISBURY, Md. - A deputy from the Wicomico County Sheriffs Office arrested Brad Howard Lewis of Salisbury, Maryland, for drug related charges after he showed signs of suspicious behavior in a Royal Farms parking lot.

Officials say a deputy observed Lewis, 39, pacing in front of the Royal Farms store on Royal Boulevard while slapping the ground. The deputy approached Lewis, who said he was locked out of his car. The deputy then assisted Lewis in getting the car unlocked through a window that was down.

The Sheriff's Office said that after all of the deputy's observations, he believed Lewis was under the influence of drugs and that there was a probable cause to search his vehicle.

According to police, the vehicle search lead to officials finding cocaine and drug paraphernalia. Lewis was arrested and taken to the Central Booking Unit.
