DOVER, Del. - A ceremony was held in Dover on Tuesday to honor those killed in the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.

The annual memorial service took place outside the Air Mobility Command Museum near Dover Air Force Base and was attended by service members, first responders, veterans.

For many attendees, like Capt. Dustin Bohall with the United States Air Force, the attack was a life-changing experience.

"This was a very powerful moment and I've subsequently been overseas in support of some of the operations that we do and so it just defined my life,” he said.

The event also featured remarks from U.S. Housing and Urban Development Secretary Ben Carson.

The Blood Bank of Delmarva also held a blood drive at Dover Downs on Tuesday.
