BRIDGEVILLE, Del.- Delaware State Police are investigating a home invasion that occurred Thursday afternoon in the Walkers Meadows Development of Bridgeville.

According to police, troopers were dispatched to a home in the 20000 block of Millstone Lane for a report of a home invasion.

A 56-year-old woman told troopers she had been home with her two young grandchildren when she heard a knock at the door.

When she answered, three men reportedly pushed their way in and forced the victim and children into a bathroom, where they tied up the victim.

The suspects proceeded to ransack the home, and removed an undisclosed amount of cash and a cellphone prior to fleeing the scene.

Neither the woman nor her grandchildren were hurt.

The suspects were described as three men wearing masks, and fleeing the area in a gray or silver colored Lexus cross-over type SUV with an unknown New York registration (see photo).

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact Troop 4, Major Crimes Unit, Detective Bluto at 302-752-3864.
