MILFORD, Del. -- Milford Police said a traffic stop lead to drug and weapons charges for two people after police found hundreds of bags of heroin, other drugs, and a loaded gun inside the car.

It happened shortly after 8:30 a.m. Thursday on the 900 Block of North Walnut Street.

According to police, officers conducted a registration check on a car driving on North West 10th Street when the check revealed that the registration was suspended.

Police pulled the car over, where they made contact with the driver, Kevin Woods, 32 of Bridgeville, and the passenger, Marshay Johnson, 24 of Dover.

Woods' driver's license was suspended, and police said they saw drug paraphernalia in the driver’s side door.  Milford PD said they arrested the pair and searched the car.

Inside, police said they found a loaded revolver, 386 bags of suspected heroin, more than 18 grams of cocaine, almost four grams of crack cocaine, about five grams of marijuana, naloxone pills, and suboxone strips.

Police also found a digital scale, other paraphernalia, and ammunition as well as a large amount of money.

Woods was charged with several drug, weapons, and traffic-related charges. Johnson also faces numerous drug-related charges.

Woods was committed to the Department of Corrections on a $98,102 secured bail.

Johnson was also committed to the DOC on a $39,600 secured bail.

Both Woods and Johnson are expected to appear in court at a later date for a preliminary hearing.
