CECIL COUNTY, Md. - Maryland State Police are investigating a multi-vehicle crash in which two people died and four others were injured early Tuesday morning in Cecil County, Maryland.

According to police, around 5:30 a.m., a white Mitsubishi Galant, driven by 28-year-old Kimberly Morgan, was traveling south on MD 213 just south of the Chesapeake City Bridge when she crossed the double yellow line into northbound traffic. An investigation shows that the Galant crashed into a Mazda pick-up truck pulling a boat on a trailer. The truck driver 53-year-old Richard Gestewitz and passenger 70-year-old Charles Sutton were pronounced dead at the scene by Emergency Services.

Police say that a third vehicle was involved when a Chevrolet Silverado, driven by 60-year-old Kenneth Haines, struck the boat trailer as a result of the first crash. Haines was taken to Christiana Hospital and treated for his injuries.

After the Silverado hit the boat, it moved into the southbound lanes where a Chevrolet Cobalt traveling south, also hit the boat trailer. The driver of the Cobalt, 55-year-old Watson Tinch, was taken to Union Hospital and treated for his injuries.

Kimberly Morgan was flown by the Maryland State Police medevac helicopter to Shock Trauma in Baltimore for life-threatening injuries. The passenger in Morgan's car, 21-year-old Caitlyn Little, was taken to Christiana Hospital by ambulance and treated.

MD 213 was closed for several hours after the crash. According to officials, drugs or alcohol may have been a factor in the accident. The incident is still under investigation.
