SALISBURY, Md.- A man has been charged with attempted murder after attacking his coworker.

On October 10, 2018, a deputy from the Wicomico County Sheriff's department responded to an altercation at the 27000 Block of Pemberton Drive. Upon arrival, the deputy learned that Samuel Gomez of Salisbury became angered in an argument with a coworker when Gomez allegedly pulled out a knife. The 29-year-old lunged at his coworker with the knife before other coworkers restrained him.

Gomez left before the deputy arrived so a warrant was obtained for his arrest.  He was found around 9 P.M. that night and taken into custody.

Gomez was detained and is being held in the detention center without bond. He is being charged with attempted first-degree murder, assault first-degree, dangerous weapon, and reckless endangerment.
