MILLVILLE, Del.- Beebe Healthcare hosted a groundbreaking ceremony Thursday for its new South Coastal Campus on Route 17 in Millville.

According to hospital officials, phase one of the new campus will include a free standing emergency department and a cancer center for outpatient services.

Beebe Healthcare CEO Jeffery Fried says the hospital has recognized the need for an emergency medical facility in southern Sussex County and they want to make medical services easier for residents to access.

“As our community has grown, Beebe Healthcare has grown along with it,” said Fried. "We are really thrilled to be here and to be able to offer our services here.”

OC Air Show Performers Fly Into Delmarva

On Thursday, OC Air Show pilots and their planes flew into the Wallops Flight Facility to begin practicing for the weekend events.

On Saturday and Sunday the beaches of Ocean City will be filled with people looking up at the planes overhead.

The 12th annual event is expected to bring in thousands of people, so Dirato recommends getting to the 17th street area as early as possible to get a good spot.
