SALISBURY, Md. - A building on Salisbury's downtown plaza is getting a major facelift.

Construction is underway at 235 West Main St. near Mill Street.

Four new apartments are being built: a pair of two-bedroom units and two one-bedroom units.

On the first floor, Enza's Organics will stay put and Lurking Class Skate Shop will open up next door.

Developer Bret Davis of Davis Simpson Development said the goal is to get more people to call the downtown area home.

"Since we started doing redevelopment work three years ago in downtown, it's been a totally different scene. The city is making huge improvements on the streets," said Davis.

Davis said the goal is to have tenants moved in by March 1.

Meanwhile, the skate shop should be open around January.

OC Air Show Performers Fly Into Delmarva

On Thursday, OC Air Show pilots and their planes flew into the Wallops Flight Facility to begin practicing for the weekend events.

On Saturday and Sunday the beaches of Ocean City will be filled with people looking up at the planes overhead.

The 12th annual event is expected to bring in thousands of people, so Dirato recommends getting to the 17th street area as early as possible to get a good spot.
