Parsonsburg Storage Building Destroyed By Fire

PARSONSBURG, Md. - A storage building is in ruins after a fire broke out early Sunday morning in Wicomico County.

According to a release from the state fire marshal, the fire was reported by a passerby at 3:40 a.m. in the building located at 32567 Morris Leonard Road in Parsonsburg.

The building was described as a 30 by 90 foot wood frame storage building owned by Randall and Patricia Welch.

Twenty firefighters from the Parsonsburg Volunteer Fire Department responded and put out the fire in about 45 minutes.

Total damage to the building and its contents is estimated at $120,000.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
