MILFORD, Del.- The Delaware Division of Public Health on Tuesday closed China Taste on Lexus Drive in Milford after an inspection revealed a roach infestation and other health violations.

According to a 4-page inspection report, officials observed cross contamination between raw and ready to eat foods items. The report also noted food contact services were not clean.

The report noted an active roach presence in the kitchen, the register area and both customer bathrooms.

Officials requested the restaurant schedule a pest management profession to service the establishment. They also ordered the removal and disposal of all food on the restaurant's shelves.

The restaurant was also ordered to clean and and sanitize all of its equipment after a pest management professional has sprayed and serviced the establishment.

All of the violations need to be corrected prior to a reopening inspection and a failure to correct violations before inspection may result in a $100 reinspection fee, the report stated.

Telephone calls to China Taste led to a voicemail in which the restaurant said the business is closed for "internal repairs. We will be reopen when the repairs are done."
