DOVER, Del. --- Researchers from Delaware's institutions of higher education will be studying issues surrounding water quality, particularly in parts of Kent and Sussex counties.
Project WiCCED will see researchers from schools like the University of Delaware, Delaware State University, and Wesley College work collaboratively to learn more about topics like water contamination in the First State.
The project is primarily funded through nearly $20 million in federal grant money.
One concern already raised by researchers is the potential for sea level rise to push salt water further upstream, potentially causing issues for agriculture and other
Researchers will also look at the state's shellfish cultivation program in the inland bays.
