WCPS Looking for Input on Mardela Middle and High School Improvement Project

Posted: Updated:

MARDELA SPRINGS, Md.- Wicomico County Public Schools is looking for input as plans move forward to make improvements at Mardela Middle and High School.

A draft version of a feasibility study was recently presented to parents and community members.

"The good news is the school is still structurally sound. The bad news is there are a lot of updates needed," said WCPS Communications Director Paul Butler.

The study determines the needs of the building and laid out four different possible options for improvements.

To view those options, you can view the PowerPoint presentation here.

After public input is gathered from parents and community members, a committee will take a closer look.

"Then the committee will sit down and say, 'Let's look at this, which one is more feasible, which one can we get funding for, and which one is better for the students,'" said Butler.

To provide input, you can email suggestions to comments@wcboe.org or leave a voicemail message on the public input line by calling 410-677-5251.
