Cambridge Outbuilding Fire Causes $11K in Damages

CAMBRIDGE, Md. - The Office of the State Fire Marshal said an early morning fire in Cambridge caused an estimated $11,000 in damages.

The fire started around 1:30 a.m. Friday in a residential outbuilding on Race Street.

According to the State Fire Marshal, it took about 30 minutes for dozens of firefighters to put out the fire.

How the fire started is still under investigation. It caused $10,000 in damages to the outbuilding's structure and $1,000 in damages to the building's contents.

    The National Weather Service performed a tornado survey and confirmed that a second tornado was tracked from Harbeson to Broadkill Beach Monday. According to the agency, this second tornado was an EF1. It clocked in about 100 mph wind speeds, and tracked from Harbeson to Broadkill Beach around 4:00 a.m. to 4:07 a.m. It first touched down near Carpenter Road in Harbeson.
