Iconic Delaware Farm Has Plans to Reopen

Posted: Updated:

TOWNSEND, Del. - An iconic Delaware farm, popular with many on Delmarva, is making plans to reopen after a costly fire.

The owners of Willey Farms say they're planning to open up a temporary selling spot where people can buy plants, herbs, and other items. The farm plans to open the temporary market before Easter.

Willey Farms was destroyed in a fire in November

The owners say they're thrilled to try and get back in business.

"We're very excited. It kind of gives us a reason to get up in the morning and put our boots on and come back to ole Townsend," Hannah Willey of Willey Farms says.

There is no word yet on when a new market will be built at the Delaware farm.
