SNOW HILL, Md.- With its historic look and waterfront views, it's safe to say the Town of Snow Hill has a personality all its own.

"We do have the river. We have Goat Island. I don't know if too many people know about that. It's a beautiful place," said neighbor Kathy Zeve.

Zeve said she's happy to see rebranding efforts underway to better capture and promote the town's charm.

A state grant has been used to build a new town website.

Additionally, the grant money was used to hire a company called On Point Marketing and Consulting to handle rebranding efforts.

"There's going to be a new slogan and new logo, and new color scheme and new fonts to use. We just hope to modernize what we have now and take it to what we plan to be in the future," said Jordyn Kuczak, Snow Hill's economic development and events coordinator.

On Point Marketing is now sorting though initial ideas provided by the community through surveys and meetings.

Kuczak said based on input so far, commonalities of the rebranding vision are based around the river and outdoors, arts, as well as the county seat.

Neighbors hope the revamped image attracts new business and visitors.

"They'll see it and see that we are working so heavily on downtown revitalization and see that it's a cool place to go," said Kuczak.

The hope is to launch the rebranding by the end of April.

A community meeting will take place next month to discuss different rebranding concepts On Point Marketing has come up with so far.

That meeting will take place Monday, March 18 at 5:40 p.m. at the old train station.
