Maryland Casinos Generate $138M in February, Increase from 2018

BALTIMORE- Casinos in Maryland brought in $57.1 million for the state during the month of February, while also increasing its totals from the same time period last year.

According to Maryland Lottery and Gaming, revenue from the state's six casinos totaled $136,764,207, which is slightly higher than the amount generated in February 2018. Last year, Maryland casinos generated $136,581,280 in February.

The total amount of money that goes to the state is $57,119,682, which includes $42,854,177 for the Education Trust Fund. Casino gaming revenue is also given to help support the communities where each casino is located.

As for the only Maryland casino on the Eastern Shore, Ocean Downs saw an increase in revenue this year. In February 2019, the casino generated $5,730,578, which was a 15.5% increase from February 2018.
