SEAFORD, Del. - Delaware State Police said one person died Monday after a crash crash in Seaford on March 6.

It happened on King Road near Dover Road shortly after 9:45 a.m. According to state police, a 34-year-old Bridgeville man was driving north on King Road when a Seaford woman pulled out of her driveway and was slowly accelerating in front of him.

State police said the Bridgeville man tried to stop when he saw the car pull out, but wasn't able to avoid hitting the back of the car.

Sandra E. Johnson, 79 of Seaford, was taken by air to the Christiana Hospital in critical condition. She passed away from her injuries on Monday. State police say Johnson was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

The Bridgeville man was not injured in the crash.
