LAUREL, De-- It's been one year since several horses were found dead in Wicomico County.

The attorney of Barbara Pilchard, the owner of that property in Hebron, was in court today for a motions hearing.

After discovering the horrific conditions of the horses,  the horses were removed and taken to different rescue farms around Maryland and Delaware...even as far away as Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Some of those horses went to Changing Fates Equine Rescue in Laurel, De.

Donna McCready is a volunteer and says it's unbelievable how far these horses have come.

"When they got here they were emaciated. They were clearly neglected. They clearly had never been around humans before," says McCready.

But, that's a different story today. Many of those Hebron horses are now surrounded by people and most importantly....love.

"Everybody's healthy. Everybody is at a normal weight," says McCready.

Rescue officials say taking care of these horses is not a cheap task, and they're planning to raise funds.

On March 24th, a fundraiser will be held for the rescue center. The fundraiser will be at Catch 54 in Fenwick Island from 12-9p.m.

Some Still Without Glasses As Accurate Optical Remains Closed

Accurate Optical in Salisbury remains closed.

Azar Filipov Real Estate Holdings says months of unpaid rent is to blame.

And though Accurate Optical was evicted from the office space last week, many customers are left without answers.

Some tell WBOC they ordered glasses just before the showdown and have yet to receive them, or be given clear vision on where to pick them up.
