Arrest Made in Dover 7-Eleven Robbery

DOVER, Del.- Dover police have arrested a man accused of robbing a 7-Eleven convenience store Tuesday night.

According to police, 39-year-old Bryan Neal entered the store on North DuPont Highway at around 11:30 p.m. and allegedly displayed a knife and demanded money.

Neal left the store with an undiscosed amount of cash and four packs of cigarettes, police said.

A short time later, officers checking the area located Neal near Nimitz Drive and Miller Drive. He reportedly attempted to flee from officers, but soon gave up and was taken into custody without incident, police said.

Neal was charged with first-degree robbery, possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony, possession of a deadly weapon by a person prohibited and resisting arrest and was committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution, according to police.
