Dover Woman Arrested After Allegedly Stabbing Her Boyfriend

Posted: Updated:

DOVER, Del. - Delaware State Police said troopers arrested a Dover woman after she allegedly assaulted her boyfriend.

It happened early Saturday morning at a home on the 100 block of Kentwood Drive. State police said troopers responded to reports of a domestic incident. When they got there, police said they found a 32-year-old male victim outside of the home with an apparent stab wound.

Police said they learned the victim and his girlfriend, Lenquesha N. Whitehurst, 33 of Dover, got into an argument, before Whitehurst took out a knife and reportedly stabbed the victim, causing serious injury.

A 13-year-old child was also home at the time of the incident.

The victim was taken to Kent Bayhealth Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Whitehurst was arrested and charged with first degree assault and endangering the welfare of a child. She was arraigned and released on $21,000 unsecured bond.
