WBOC Mid-Shore Job Fair Kicked Off in Easton

Posted: Updated:

EASTON, Md. - Two job fairs in one year - WBOC did it Saturday. The Mid-Shore Job Fair kicked off in Easton, with plenty of employers and potential employees ready to talk jobs.

Employers brought everything from freebies to balloons Saturday for the fair, held at the Milestone Event Center from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Dave Stofa with Talbot County Schools says they came to the fair eager to find fresh talent.

"Classroom teachers to custodians, maintenance people. Anything and everything we're looking for right now," Stofa said.

As the preparations wrapped up for the event, the candidates made their way in, eager too to find the best fit. Whether it was their first or third, there were plenty of choices with more than 30 different employers.

Like Chirstie Woodard of PRS Guitars, who says she's looking to hire and to let people know they were there.

"People still don't know we're here, so it's really about getting our name out there and making sure that that folks know that we are making great guitars and great jobs," Woodard said.

It was a one-stop shop drawing hundreds from across the Eastern Shore.
