Investment Firm to Hire up to 50 Workers at Delaware Office

Posted: Updated:

WILMINGTON, Del. (AP)- The micro-investment company Acorns says it plans to hire up to 50 employees at a new office in northern Delaware within the next year.

Acorns is one of the biggest next-gen financial technology companies expanding in The First State.

He says a surplus of finance talent in Delaware due to bank layoffs over the past two decades and possible state grants factored into the company's decision to expand in Delaware. State economic development nonprofit Delaware Prosperity Partnership declined to detail its negotiation with Acorns.
