Salisbury Woman Arrested After Alleged Assault

Posted: Updated:

SALISBURY, Md. - The Wicomico County Sheriff's Office said deputies arrested a Salisbury woman Saturday after she reportedly assaulted two people.

It happened at a home on the 100 block of Francis Drive. Police said they were responding to reports of an altercation that turned physical. Once they arrived, police said they met a man who told police he had an argument with 23-year-old Samantha Brotzman. During the argument, the male victim told police Brotzman started hitting him with a closed fist.

When the man went inside, police said Brotzman followed and punched a female victim. The sheriff's office also said they learned the male victim and Brotzman were in a relationship.

The WCSO said both victims showed signs of injuries, which confirmed the victims' accounts.

Brotzman was arrested and charged with second degree assault. Following an initial court appearance, Brotzman was detained at the detention center without bond pending a bond review.
