Unofficial Tallies Are in for Snow Hill General Election

SNOW HILL, Md.- Voters in Snow Hill took to the polls Tuesday to take part int the town's general election.

At this time, polls show Gary Weber won the race for mayor at 255 votes. He ran against Richard Thompson and Catherine Freeman, who each received 135 and 54 votes, respectively.

Voters also elected council seats. For the central district, Melisa Weidner beat incumbent Jenny Hall, 119 to 48.

For the western district, incumbent LaToya Purnell leads Mark Nixon 79 to 48. 

31 absentee ballots still need to be counted and 19 provisional ballots still have to be reviewed. The town says it will make the official results available once those remaining ballots are all reviewed.
