Veterans Honored During Special Ceremony in Rehoboth Beach

Posted: Updated:

REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. - Some veterans were honored in a very special way Friday.

Veterans at the Brandywine Living Facility at Seaside Point were visited by three Dover Airmen. The Airmen gave each man a pin, certificate, and a salute, honoring their years of service.

Veteran Ron Johnson says the ceremony and the holiday weekend is about remembrance and supporting the next generation of military members.

"We recognize what they've done for us and we celebrate," Johnson said. "They are good men and just keep them going."

There was also a sing-a-long for each branch of the military's song.
