Demolition Underway in Downtown Millsboro

Posted: Updated:

MILLSBORO, Del.- Two buildings in downtown Millsboro are coming down.

This is part of the revitalization project for the area. Crews have been working on the demolition since early June and are expected to complete the work in July. The town hopes to use this acre of land to build a new town hall next year.

"In addition to the new town hall there'll be some additional public parking, some green spaces," says town manager Sheldon Hudson. "The idea is to make this a really attractive gateway as you're entering the town from the east."

The demolition project costs about $70,000. Currently, the town is now exploring designs for the new town hall.
