Millsboro Man Arrested Following Altercation With Ex-Girlfriend

Posted: Updated:

MILTON, Del.- A Millsboro man is facing charges after police say he entered his ex-girlfriend’s home uninvited and hit her in front of their three children.

According to Delaware State Police, troopers responded Tuesday before noon to a home in the 25000 block of Walker Court in Milton for a 911 disconnect.

Troopers said a woman told them her ex-boyfriend, Andrew A. Long, III, 22, entered her home without her permission and refused to leave.

The woman told troopers that Long proceeded to hit her while in the presence of the couple's three children.

Long then left the home in a vehicle before police arrived and police report neither the victim nor her three children were hurt.

Long was taken into custody a short time later at a home in the 26000 block of Mount Joy Road.

He was transported back to Troop 7 where he was charged with the following:

  • Second-degree burglary
  • Endangering the welfare of a child (3 counts)
  • Offensive Touching

Long was arraigned before the Justice of the Peace Court and committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution on $4,100 secured bond.
