POCOMOKE CITY, Md.- The former Pocomoke City manager is considering a lawsuit against the town for his recent termination.

After a second council vote to fire Bobby Cowger last week, his lawyer has now asked for mediation, a process Cowger hopes will provide compromise to the situation.

Cowger's attorney says his client is still in the dark as to what he did wrong.

"If the town mothers and fathers continue to reject the requests made of them by their constituents, it's going to produce a very ugly, divisive situation in Pocomoke," Robin Cockey, Cowger's attorney said.

Cockey says his client's termination was not done properly by the council, according to the charter. If this mediation is not answered by the end of next week, a lawsuit will be filed in response.
