Soccer Moms Ready for 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup Final Game

ROYAL OAKS, Md.- The 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup finale is around the corner. Fans from all over the country will be glued to the screens in hopes to see the USA walk with the title. For a group of passionate soccer fans and players in Bellvue, this Sunday will be a day to remember.

Maribel Velazquez along with Mayda Hernandez, and ten other women from Talbot and Dorchester County, are part of "Las Chapinas". Their very own soccer team. They compete with teams from all over Delmarva.

"I love soccer," says Velazquez. "I also coach my kids' soccer teams and play every Sunday with my friends."

Velazquez is also a business owner and balances her passion with her family. She was born in Mexico, but she's a die-hard USA fan.

"Seeing the women team win big in France is amazing," she says.

Velazquez is hoping the USA returns home with the cup for the 4th time.

"We won last time and, I think we can do it again this year," she says. "The USA team inspire us to keep playing here."
