Police Conducting Death Investigation in Lincoln

LINCOLN, Del.- The Delaware State Police Homicide Unit is conducting a death investigation after a man was found shot at a home in Lincoln on Wednesday evening. 

Police said that shortly before 8:30 p.m. troopers were dispatched to a home in the 15000 block of Winner Circle where they found a 34-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to the Sussex Bayhealth Hospital in Milford, and later transferred to the Christiana Hospital where he succumbed to his injury. The victim’s name is being withheld at this time pending the notification of next of kin.

Police said the investigation is in its early stages with further information being released as it becomes available. There is no threat or concern to the public’s safety at this time.
